Area residents can shop for locally grown food and enjoy the friendly community of a farmers' market during the depths of winter. Building on the success of the Greenfield Winter Fare Farmers' Markets, local farmers will hold monthly winter farmers' markets on December 3, January 7, February 4 and March 3 from 10 am. to 1 pm. at the Second Congregational Church on Court Square (next to Town Hall) in Greenfield. Seventeen local farmers and food producers will sell fresh locally grown vegetables, fruit, meat, cheese, honey, jam, maple syrup and so much more.  The Green River String Band will perform Saturday at 10:30 am.
